She married MARION LAFAYETTE ELLINGTON Abt. 1872, son of WILLIAM ELLINGTON and MARY FAUCETT. He was born September 18, 1851, and died October 30, 1938 in Autauga County, Alabama.

A note from Calvin Milford...a great-grandson of James Calvin Arnett,
told me that Cordelia was known as "Aunt Delie. James

The Salem Primitive Baptist Church is no longer in existence.
The congregation disbanded in
the early 1900's, and joined neighboring churches at Mt. Pisgah and
Lanett. The cemetery is
about 100 feet from a dirt road leading to the former site of the church
building. It is
surrounded by a fence and is fairly-well maintained, although many
of the markers are illegible
after years of exposure to the elements.

Jesse died near Rock Mills, Ala. in the Bacon Level Community of
Randolph Co, Ala. and is burried in the Salem Primative Baptist
Church Cemetery.
Believed father of Jesse was Peter Arnett.
(Owned lands situated and connected in Anson county.)
Possible father of Peter was a William Arnett.
Some of the Arnetts in North Carolina did go to Screven County, Ga.
(Possibly found as South Carolina in your histories, or listings.)
Beleived those Arnetts are connected, but incomplete and unknown.
Peter Arnett of Anson Co. was married to an Ann ??? Ann Arnett lived
in Anson Co. after (son) Jesse left there.
Peter Arnett died (approximation) Anson Co.
Copy of deed of Ann Arnett 1/4/1849 to Joseph Arnett refers to division
of lands
of Peter Arnett dec'd, and mentions a Widow's lot.
